With my first, I had the nursery painted by the time I was 8 weeks and everything brought by 20. I didn't find out the sex until 21 weeks so everything was neutra colours. This time around I'm waiting until I know the sex but I think it's really up to you.

personally I waited until 12 weeks to buy my first little "token" gift, but waited until my gender scan before i bought any of the bigger items. To be honest I only have 4 weeks left and I still haven't got a moses basket or crib yet :/
Its all personal preference, theres no right or wrong time to buy things.

I'm 15 weeks and haven't bought anything. I probably won't buy much for at least another month. My sis is waiting til she's around 7 months, cos they're moving house. I think it's really up to you. You've still got plenty of time, but getting a few small things early is nice and might make it all feel more real :)

I didn't buy anything until after 13 weeks, and then it was only a few things. After my anatomy scan, I bought a lot more since I knew I was having a girl:-)

we started buying stuff around 16 weeks when we found out we were having a girl .. i have had 5 prior losses ( at 25,16,11,9,10 weeks) so it was hard for me to feel comfortable buying baby items. the risk of loss is lowered to 1-2% after 13 weeks so I usually tell people to start buying sometime after that

I didn't start buying anything until after my 13 week scan. I bought a set of gender neutral onsies. Prob won't start buying bigger things under after the gender reveal around 20 weeks.
