I did talk to a lactataion consultant and one of the things suggested was the fenugreek tablets. i more wanted to know what worked for others. My son is almost 3 months old and up till I went back to work was doing extremely well with feeding him on my own. I did supplement a little when he went through his growth spurt but otherwise was pumping and letting my DH feed him some too at that point. Guess if none of the herbal things work that lactation specialist said i could do I'll have to make some decisions. I just really wanted this to work out but I do know him being healthy and fed is most important thing. Thanks ladies!

Ok the plummeting thing is not true on all women. I was able to breast feed the four days in the hospital then dr told me to stop due to my daughters jaundice. As a note it is better to breast feed a jaundice baby cause it will help them more. Well I was still pumping like crazy, but wasnt producing enough. This does happen to alot of women. It finally got to the point where she was 3 weeks old that I finally decided that since I wasnt producing enough for her that I was going to have to switch. It is natural not to produce a lot. Im going to try and breastfeed once again with this one. But before you start taking anything talk to your OB first and see what they suggest.

Fenugreek capsules work great. I've used them. If you supplement with formula at all, your supply is going to plummet. GL!
