I would not worry at all especially if the doc's are sure it will not harm your baby. Like the other person said there are THOUSANDS of HPV strands out there. Only a few cause warts not all. I had a pap when I was 18 and I had only had sex (protected) with one person prior to my pap and it came back abnormal. I had a planned biopsy - but the soonest they were able to schedule it was 2 months out. Well, the good news was the biopsy came up negative and I have pap's every 6 months and nothing has came up abnormal since. They told me thought with it being abnormal, HPV and started giving me the spill about it but the biopsy came back negative which the doc's said would have confirmed it. So HPV was never confirmed in my case. ANd I had 2 healthy beautiful girls since then and not one abnormal pap since *finger crossed* *knock on wood*. Just stay positive and take it one day at a time firned. =)

HPV has thousands (literally) of different strands, and people can go years without knowing they have it because many are asymptomatic. If your doctor says it won't hurt your baby then take deep breath and try not to stress until you and your doctor figure out what kind you have and if there is any treatment. Also consider talking with your partner (or anyone you've been with since your last pap) about getting tested as you may have gotten it from them or gave it to them. As far as if your colposcopy will do harm to your baby, I have no idea. I think if you really trust your doctor then go ahead, if you don't I would get a second opinion.
