Q: leaking milk already...

I'm 29 weeks 4 days and I've noticed my nips have started to leak a little, right now it's almost like they're sweating.. is that normal this early or could it be a sign of labor coming? Also, my nipples itch SO BAD! I've been putting lotion on them but it's not helping, what can I do to make them stop itching?

Use Lanolin cream. Its specific for the nipples breast feeding or not. It relieves soreness too. Its completely normal. With my first pregnancy I started leaking as early as 14 wks. I didnt start until 20 wks this time.

For the Itching i looked it up because it was driving me crazy and i read not to wash your nipples with soap just run warm water threw them and let me say IT HAS HELPED!!! they itch here and there but i can handle it. Mine were so bad i could not sleep at night. so try that. Let me know if that helps!!

Oh and I would try to avoid the hydrocortisone cream if you can as it contains steroid and your skin can become dependent on it. I would try something like shea butter...something natural.

I've read that you can start leaking "colostrum"..not sure if I spelt that right. But it's basically early signs of milk being produced. Completely normal. So is the itching from what I've heard. I am 29 weeks on saturday, but haven't seen any of this YET myself. But from what I know ...totally normal :)

I'm only 22 weeks pregnant and my nipples began leaking about 20 weeks. Not a lot, just a little teeny bit. It's normal, and every body is different! I wouldn't be concerned about it being an early sign of labor. My doc told me for it to indicate labor you really have to be having contractions with it. Dry rinsing your breasts with cool water and applying some hyrdocortisone cream, that always helps me. Also (weird as this sounds) massaging them with the palm of your hand does help!
