Q: Spotting 6 weeks

I just went to the bathroom and noticed blood on my underware :( No cramping, but I'm very concerned. I just recently started taking Amoxicillin yesterday and I am wondering if that could be the cause of it? I will call my OBGYN tomorrow, but right now I'm freaking out...

Would like everyone to know that I got my blood work back and my levels are rising :). On Monday I tested 20900 and on Wednesday 30900. I learned that spotting can be normal, but I'm glad I went to the docs to reassure myself!!!

Don't worry if it's just spotting and brownish. And don't worry about the antibiotics. I was on amoxicillan at 6 weeks for strep throat. I had spotting at 7 and a half weeks, and it was from a hematoma that has already dissolved back into my uterus. They said that if you have bright red blood, cramps, and lots of bleeding that's the worrying kind...

Thanks for your response. I'm now just having a little brown specks so I take that as a good sign. I talked with the obgyn nurse and she said that the spotting is most likely from the stress of me worrying about having to take an antibiotic for an infected tick bite. She told me not to worry unless I start bleeding heavier or have bad cramps. It's soooo hard not to stress out, but I will try to calm down.

As long as there is no cramping or pain, you are most likely just fine...if you are super concerned you could talk to the doc just to ease your mind :) spotting is very common in pregnancy :)

Try not to panic! Spotting is very common in early pregnancy! I had a trip to Emergancy at 5 weeks and 6 days because i had a bit mre than spotting, but was assured that its normal! It happens at implantation apparently! I had an early scan the next day and this showed that i have an extra sack that is full of blood so more bleeding may happen! It also showed babys heart beat so put me t rest!

But as i said! Try not to panic!!!! But if its going to make u feel better as it would me, then go see ure Dr! xx
