Q: Cute and inexpensive maternity clothes...

I am about ready to start wearing maternity clothes and I wanted to get some suggestions on where to buy them. Or pieces you couldn't live without during pregnancy.

those long maternity tank tops are cute and you can wear them under your regular cute shirts and they don't let your belly show from the bottom!

Macy's clearance section, JCPenny's, Old Navy, Target, and Motherhood Maternity clearance sections.
I have also used ebay and craigslist, as well as consignment sales, and stores.

The Old Navy in my area no longer has a maternity section. So I saw a few things in Target, but I bought some clearance stuff in Khol's. I like their selection as best as any. Also, I went to Ross (similar to a TJMaxx) and bought some loose fitting and longtops/ sweaters in the junior and women's sections. They are long enough to be maternity and I can wear them with a cute belt after the baby is born and hopefully lose the baby weight.

Walmart has some, and I got most of mine at a thrift store or online consignment (ie. craigslist).

Maternity Jeans with the stretchy panesl is a must. Dresses are also great if you need to dress up for work because most of the time you can get away with non-maternity if they're stretchy enough - better than skirts and tops because it's a one shot deal.

I like Target and Old Navy. They're a lot more affordable compared to specialty maternity stores like Motherhood Maternity, A Pea in the Pod, etc. My favorite item is the BE Band. You wear it over your unbuttoned non-maternity pants to cover the zipper and help keep your pants up. I love it, and already have it in two colors. I'm hoping to not have to buy maternity jeans and wear my regular jeans with the BE Band until it's baby time. I bought mine at Target, and I think it was $16.
