Q: being impatient about gender ultrasound!!!

I'm 15 weeks pregnant...so technically, I can find out my baby's gender. I had changed my doctor and went to my new one for the first time for my 4th month prenatal. I asked for a ultrasound but she wanted me to wait till 20 week so they can do the whole anatomy scan...I was extremely disappointed. Now I have to wait 5 more weeks...This is my first and I really want to know what I'm having. How did you ladies cope with this?

Mine was on Wednesday, at 19w1d. However, we are having a gender reveal so we won't actually find out the gender until tomorrow, when i'm almost 20 weeks! I had the answer in my hand and had to give it up!

mine isn't scheduled until 28 weeks :( I might go crazy by then...lol or go to a private ultrasound place, haha.

We decided not to pay to get an earlier ultrasound. My anatomy scan was scheduled at 19 weeks, so my DH and I just made it a special day to look forward to. We both took off from work, spent the day together, and then headed to my doctor's appointment and ultrasound that afternoon. It was wonderful and since we planned to do it in advance, it was a pretty great day:-)

The private u/s places around here that do the 3D scans cost over $200 so it wasn't worth it to us to pay that much for something we'd find out for free 3 weeks later. But it's up to you of course:-)

Thank you ladies for your answers/advice. I think I'm going to wait till my 20 weeks U/S. I also don't want to be mistaken that it's a girl but turns out to be a boy lol. This happened to my friend. Kind of nervous about that too. But thank you ladies, Happy and Healthy 9 months to everyone!

at 13 weeks i was i couldnt stand it so i went to a 3d place and paid 50 bucks. they said they could do it as early as 14. i told her i wasnt quite there but she was so nice and showed me that it was looking like a boy! that eased my mind. i went back at 15 weeks and sure enough it was a boy. it helps a lot but to be honest for me im just impatient in general. my friend is 3 months ahead of me and due 8/21 and her baby shower is this saturday and now im all impatient to be where she is. if its not one thing its another lol good luck hun!

you just cope with it, and keep busy. it will go quciker than you think. i have 6 weeks to go and this is my second and i want to know as bad as i did with my first. enjoy your pregnancy and enjoy it to the fullest when you go in for it.what i do is count down the days bc for me 42 days sounds better than 6 weeks lol!

I went to a 3d/4d ultrasound place, it was $55 bucks, I found out the gender at 15w1d. Even though they do it as early as 14w. I loved it! They wouldnt give up lol, baby was sleeping with legs crossed blocking the view. When we saw it, it was so clear! At this place if they dont get it, you come back in for free to retest.

I total feel ya on this one. I'm 16 weeks and dying to know what I'm having but I'm scheduled for my anatomy ultrasound at 21 weeks. So since its like a month away my husband and I decided that we are just going to do the 3d ultrasound to find out and see our precious baby! U should def look into that. To pay 100 to find out the gender is def worth it! Good luck!

You can pay 50-100$ and have a 3D ultrasound. I found out after paying, at just 16 weeks! Everywhere is different though. If your impatient then google the 3D ultrasound places near you. Depending on the place you can find out as early as tommrow :)
