Q: 3d scans a good idea?

I really love to have a 3d scan, after seeing someone's pictures. But are they really worth the money?
Id also find out the sex 3 weeks before my actually gender scan, so theres a bonus.

I had one at 16 weeks where the baby looked like a tiny alien than another at 27 weeks where she looked like a cute little human
I deff wouldnt pay to have one at 16 weeks again ,but I loved my experience at 27 weeks it was worth the money

I didnt pay for mine. When I went in for my 13 wks scan (gestational scan) she was moving too much to get a heart beat so they did 3D. It was absolutely amazing.

My OB has the capability to do a 3D with rheir regular ultrasound machine. So, I dont have to pay extra. Check with your OB if they have the new hi tech equipment, that save you $.

I just had my 3d ultrasound, my first pregnancy i didnt get one. But this one I did. I think its totally worth the money, I saw my babys hairline, and HIS PEEPEE was way out there lol ... Im exicted because I go back 3 more times, for 3 30min sessions. Its a great experience for the whole family.

We just had one done and felt it was entirely worth the money! It gets you an extra time to see the baby and the gender results are much more accurate because they are more clear! We really enjoyed the experience and it was neat to see that the baby already looked like my husband :)

I wouldn't have minded getting one done, but my DH always thought they were creepy-looking (but I'm not upset that we didn't do it). I had several ultrasounds anyway being high-risk so we decided not to pay the extra expense. I think if it was under $100 I might have done it anyway, but most of the places around here average $200 or more. I'm putting that money toward her newborn pics:-)

It's kinda of fun to imagine who she'll look like since we don't know. It won't be long now! I honestly think it's a personal choice.

I went for a 3D scan at 18w, and I think it's worth every penny. It was expensive, BUT you'll never be able to get those pictures/video back again. I wish that these scans were offered here when I was pregnant with my daughter 7-8 years ago, but they weren't :(
It was absolutely amazing to watch- our son was hiding, putting his arms in front of his face, moving all around, etc. I'd say go for it :)

We are going to get a 3d scan. It also gives me a chance to get a closer look at my baby once again as my doc said there will be no u/s after anatomy scan. Also here we have found someone who comes at ur home & do the scan. So we are planning to ask them to come at my baby shower and that's how I'm gonna reveal the gender to my frnds & family !!

My husband and I are going to get a 3D scan. I saw my friends pic and think it is totally worth it. But it's a personal decision.
