We have decided to use cloth nappies (diapers lol). However we will be using disposable ones whilst bubbas umbilical cord is healing. We have invested in this http://www.fill-your-pants.com/cloth-nappy-trial/nappy-trial.html. You get sent 12 different brands of cloth nappy and you can try them. You pay £120 not sure of $ but you get to keep any you like. The ones you dont like you send back and get your refund. Hope this helps.

I personally have not used cloth diapers, but I have a parent at my daycare that uses them. They use the new kind bum genius or something like that. My personal opinion of them is I hate using them. I think when they are new born would be ok, but as they get bigger like 5-6 months they are a pain. They leak, her little clothes don't fit every thing she wears is so tight she can't move because they are so bulky. We have to have a seperate bag to dispose of them. Be prepared to do lots of laundry. I would not use them for my child. I sometimes think is she really saving any money with laundry soap, water bill, and her time as a working mother. If your child is going to be in daycare, don't make your child care workers deal with that mess. We can't rinse out diapers it is against state regulation in my state and it's gross. :) That's just my opinion though. :)

Ok the reality is, cloth Naples are cheaper, but you are more prone to nappy rash, and leaking. Today's Naples are designed to help minimize both of these problems. But it has more of a negetive effect on the environment. Plus cloth Naples are a lot more work. So as sOmeone who has done both, I found it a lot better To manage with disposable Nappies then cloth. But then again that is only my opinion, and you only really know if you like it once you have tried it.
Hope I helped a little.
