I hated it. I got it 6 months after DS was born and 6 months later had to get it removed because I bled the entire 6 months and started getting fevers and abdominal pain. Turned out I had developed a uterine infection and I was one of 10% of women who's bodies reject. Had to be put under to get it removed and got a D&C.

I had a mirena right after my 4th and I absolutely loved it. I spotted for a few months and then no period for years! It was AMAZING!!!!

Just wanted to update. My cramping is barely noticable today and I'm just spotting pink watery discharge enough for a pantyliner. The bleeding was bright red and a little heavier right after insertion. Crossing my fingers.

I had it..it was the first time I had used birth control and it caused so many problems. Go look up the bad side affects that some people have..I had them all. Depression was huge! pain in my tummy...bleeding, cramping, crazy mood swings, headaches..you name it I had it...I took that bad boy out myself after realizing what was my issue..it was within 2 weeks that I was better. I had it in me for 4 months..My husband was deployed (he deployed right after I gave birth) and could hear me struggling and we both decided that mirena had to go. I highly recommend something else..I also dont recommend birth control all together..but, that could be irresponsible to be telling those who have maybe found it to be helpful.
