Q: HCG Levels 500 and above - is there a home test?

Hi,

In order to maintain my obsessive compulsive nature (following two miscarriages in the last year) I wondered if there were any HPT which measure less sensitivity, as a way of checking that my HCG levels are increasing? In the US they have something called the Detect5 which monitors HCG at intervals of 500 miu up to 10,000 miu - does anyone know of anything similar available in the UK?

Cheers all!!

Debbie

Hey,
No there isn't, not over here. At one point you could order the detect 5 to UK but I don't think you can anymore. Have you checked ebay? They might do them but I think you are looking at around £50 to have it delivered to England. I was exactly the same and ended up going to a private clinic for blood tests to measure HCG then just had loads of private scans ( which nearly bankrupted me! ), so that is the only thing I can suggest if you can afford it?? I can give you the name of the clinics that do it if there is one near you. :)
