Q: Pregnancy acne???

OK. With my boys my skin was perfect. I have been reading that pregnancy acne is common in women carrying girls. I've had it since day one. Getting worse. Also I've had every pregnancy symptoms there are that I never did with boys. Any ideas or comments........... Just curious.

I'm having a girl and I didn't have any problem with acne either. It's just an old wive's tale, but it sounds like you are hoping for a girl so I'll keep my fingers crossed:-)

Im having a girl, skin broke out for the first 2 or 3 months, but suddenly cleared up completely. Not one pimple for 6 or so months. Ive had bad acne since I was 12 years old, now being 23, pregnancy is the only thing that helped with it lol!

Its crazy because I'm having the same issue. Have 2 boys and my skin was sooo clear during both pregnancies but now with this one I have bad acne the whole time. I find out in a few days what I'm having. But I did hear that its a sign of carrying a girl. We are hoping. Best of luck and we just have to remember that our skin will go back to normal once we have the baby. :)

My skin went nuts for the first 5 months! I switched to Cetaphil as a cleanser since it's more gentle and then I was given a tip from another mommy to try using witch hazel...and it made a HUGE difference for me. I cleanse at night and then wipe my face down with the witch hazel on a cotton pad. Give it a try.

With my son I looked and felt great, but with this baby, its a girl :), I feel sour all the time and my face, back, and chest look like a pepperoni pizza ahaha. I have had all the 'wives tales' be true with her so far but I think it just depends on baby and hormones. Every pregnancy is so different. Hope this helps! :)
