Thank you all for your helpful answers!! I went with an over the counter prenatal, the ingrediants were almost exactly the same as the prescription ones.

my doctor told me to take foilc acid i asked him about pregnacare and he said that it would be better to take them as it has everything i need as long it does not have vitamin A in them and they are designed for pregnancy then we can take them

i dont think there is really much difference. i prefer to go to the natural health store and get vitamins that do not contain aluminum,but i think they all have a standard amount of recommended vitamins beneficial to pregnancy.

My doctor gave me a script for some too, they're the exact same, they were just free at meijer stores, but I just buy the wal-mart brand. I don't think there's a difference.
