Q: Water!!!!

I'm 25 weeks and I don't know what my problem is but I can't get enough water. I'm drinking so much my stomach starts hurting but my mouth stays dry and I still feel thirsty. Any ideas?

I drank a coconut water today and it's really made water more satisfying. Going shopping tomorrow to stock up on some hydration aids. Thanks for your help.

I went through this very thing and it comes and goes.....mostly its due to dehydration. I found that if I drank only water I swear it would sound like an ocean in my stomach when I walked (swoosh swoosh) haha JK. I just would drink water, then also the next time a big gatorade. It helped out a lot!

I drink Vita Coco but haven't had any in a while. I had testing done in the first trimester and my sugar was 102 but of course I have to have it again. My mom said said she had gd for all her pregnancies but I didn't have it for my first. Have 6 month appointment on Tuesday. Didn't think about that though, Ty.

I'm a big fan of coconut water. It has electrolytes in it like gatorade but not as much sugar and natural ingredients. Zico makes an awesome coconut water in chocolate and pomberry. One other question ? Have you done your glucose tolerance testing yet??

Oh ok :) then, your probably thirsty because your blood volume has doubled, and that takes extra water to keep you hydrated. Try and drink 1 oz of water per 2lb of weight everyday, and that should keep you hydrated.

Oh it's not too much. It's just more than usual for me personally since I haven't done anything but sit on the couch today. When I go outside I drink probably 8-9 waters a day. But today I've had 3 waters in 6 hours. I just don't understand why I'd be so thirsty doing nothing.

It's important when answering this question to know exactly how much water you are drinking, since technically, drinking too much water coudl be fatal. So are we talking 50-70oz? Or more like 70-100oz? Over 100oz?
