Q: Baby Shower Issue!

As soon as we announced that we were expecting, one of my best friends "called dibs" on having the baby shower. My fiance is from another area (about an hr or so away from where we live), so it was then mentioned to have two showers- one from where he is from, and one from where we are living. Another friend volunteered to throw the shower here, and is lining everything up for it. My first friend who called dibs on the shower (she lives where my Fiance is from) hasn't even started anything (that I know of). We've talked different times about it, and we'd decided to just make a Facebook Event, that it'd be easier than making invites.
The shower is now less than a month away (3 weeks on Sunday to be exact), and she still hasn't secured a spot for it, and hasn't started the FB event. I feel bad to keep mentioning it, but it's starting to worry me. What would you do? It's getting to the point that I'm almost thinking on asking someone else, or holding it myself!!

You should start the FB event. It's your shower so it'll be your friends. Just tell your friend that you'd like everyone to have advance optics so that they could make it. If it was me I'd be proactive and just jump right in :)

Have a heart-to-heart with your friend. Share your feelings and worries, and try to figure out the problem. A personal problem that she hasn't had time to work on the shower? She doesn't want to do it anymore? She's upset about something? You still have enough time to work it out with her and decide if she still wants to do it or if her not doing anything is a sign she's backing out. Either way get the truth out of her, and go from there.
