Q: Trouble standing up straight?

Hey Girls,

I am currently 28 weeks and my belly is huge. I swear, I look more like 38 weeks pregnant than 28!
I am short, and I don't know if its because of the extra weight, or what, but I can not stand up straight. My back is so sore, and after I am sitting for even a short period of time, I can not stand up straight!
Anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

I am 5'7" but had a lot of back and hip pain because I am carrying so low...baby is pretty much down in my lap the whole pregnancy. I also have gotten a lot of ligament pain in the side of my lower stomach. I am almost 32 weeks along now, but my doctor reccommended getting a belly support. I saw a cheap one on babys r us I believe. It basically wraps around your lower back and under your tummy to help out. Maybe that would help you too! :)

I completely commiserate with you. Lying down early in this pregnancy was soooo nice...and now it's like the most uncomfortable thing I can do, because of how heavy I feel and how hard it is to shift all that bulk around. lol

Thanks Blossome. This is the first week I have really been uncomfortable. I feel huge, full, sore, and I can't seems to get comfortable sleeping in any position.

I'm 5' 8", and at about 25 weeks I started having the same problem- my back bowed so badly with the weight of my belly that standing up straight was impossible, especially after sitting or lying down! I walked and still walk around all hobbled for about ten minutes before I can get my back into a somewhat upright position. It's uncomfortable, but I've discovered that trying to force it into good posture reeeeeally hurts. However, hot showers/baths frequently help.
