Q: Weight Gain

I am 20 weeks and 4 days and i still weigh the same amount as i did before i was pregnant. I did have morning sickness for weeks. My ultrasounds show baby is all healthy and actually measuring further along and my tummy measurements are right on track. My midwife doesnt seem to weigh me but i weigh myself at home. Should i be worried or not? Im sure i'll put on weight eventually....

Dont worry if baby is looking good then you have nothing to worry about, with my dd I lost 17lbs and she was born at 39 weeks and weighed 8lbs 1oz! I am now 15 weeks 4 days and have lost 12lbs and gained back 2 so I am 10lbs less than what I was before getting pregnant...baby is measuring bigger than its supposed to and I'm showing pretty good too...my Dr isnt concerned a bit!

I weighed exactly the same as you, 132, when I got pregnant. I gained pretty much the same, sometimes less, until I was past 20 weeks. Now I'm a little over 25 weeks and weigh 140-141! And my baby is measuring big. Don't worry, they'll let you know if you aren't gaining enough or if baby is growing well.

hey! i am 23 1/2 weeks and i have ONLY gained 10 lbs since before i got pregnant till present day! The drs and mid wives have told me im measuring perfect and everything and NOT to worry!! its actually realllllly good to gain weight gradually than really fast~! for one itll be much easier to lose it after baby :) and for another its healthier for you and baby bc your not over eating!!!
it depends if you were over weight prior to pregnancy! If your dr is saying everything is measuring right on track then dont stress it! YOUR JUST LUCKY!! youll go back to your pre pregnancy figure in NOO TIME :-)
GOod luck! keep up the goooood work :)

I'm 37 weeks and 1 day and as of last week I had only gained 2.8lbs my entire pregnancy. I'm right on track with my fundal height and at my u/s today baby boys weight was guessed to be about 6lbs 14oz! So as long as everything looks fine and baby looks healthy I wouldn't worry too much. Also I too had m/s like crazy and i worked full time up until this week when I started my maternity leave so being active and sick could be a big role in the little-none weight gain.

I haven't gained any weight either and my doc said its ok. All long as I'm taking in the proper amount of calories per day and the baby is healthy, all is well.

Depends on how big you were in the first- if you were bigger, then they don't mind it. I had lost weight every prenatal appointment I'd gone to until the one two weeks ago- where they claim I gained 10lbs (in one month)!! I went back yesterday, and I'm back to loosing. Doesn't make sense to me, but anyways!

As long as your belly is measuring where it should be, there is nothing to be worried about :) Be happy that you haven't gained :D Best of luck!

As long as baby is healthy and growing right then it doesnt matter how much weight you do or do not gain!
You will eventually, just be glad you arent yet (:
I didnt gain any weight until 18 weeks, and then it was only a pound. Im now 23 weeks and have gained 5 more, so right on track.
