Q: Anyone else have or had headaches every day during pregnancy?

I'm currently 21 weeks and I've been getting reoccuring headaches almost every day for about 5 weeks now, and some days they turn into migraines. My doctor said its prob just my hormones but its starting to become verrrrry annoying. My blood pressure is always fine so I know thats not the culprit. I'm just wondering if theres anyone else in the same boat and what you did to relieve them...beside take tylenol.

I am 24 weeks and I have been getting headaches/migraines at least once a day before and since I have gotten pregnant. The only thing that helps me is a cold compress, I use those gel masks you put in the freezer and they can be put in the microwave if you want to use it as a hot compress... anyway, I use it for about 20 mins and it works like a charm :0)

Also if I am all congested and start getting a migraine I will use peppermint oil that I picked up at the vitamin store, I just smell it for a few seconds and it opens my sinuses right up :0) Hope this helps.... best of luck to you!!

i get headaches nearly everyday also, im 21weeks. Since being pregnant i cant stand the taste of coffee so i take 1 Tylonal Headache Relief when i have a bad headache and it works great! the headache tylonal contains caffiene which i think is what really helps.

I've had the same issue -- luckily I haven't had one recently but they have been pretty bad throughout my pregnancy. Good luck with the remedies that the ladies mentioned here ... all good stuff.

Caffiene will def help. So does laying down in a quiet room with a cool cloth on your forehead/eyes for 20-30 mins. Or putting a cold compress on the back of your neck. Both of those things (along with tylenol) helped me the most.

Feel better!

yes! i am 23 weeks 4 days pregnant and i have had headaches throughout~! being as i will not and have not taken any medication for headaches/migraines bc of being pregnant , the drs and mid wives said that caffeinated drinks help ( as mentioned above)! i find that if i drink a pepsi, mountain dew, or even a small coffee it takes it away immediately!! if you dont drink coffee try a cup of tea!!
its because of the elevated levels of progesterone among everything else..LOL!! but good luck

I am in the same boat!! I'm a lil over 22weeks and I get them almost daily as well. I asked my doc about them and she said that if tylenol doesn't help to drink one caffeinated drink (since I don't drink anything but water 99% of the time)...I have found that so far doing this has helped! I have actually started trying that before I try tylenol because I hate taking pills when pregnant. Good luck! I hope you get some relief soon!
