Q: Non stress test at 20 weeks?

In 4 weeks ill be 20 weeks and they scheduled me for a non stress test, ive never had this done with my 1st and i read online they usually do this test starting at 28 weeks. My guess is theyre doing it cuz im at risk for another pre term labor , anyone had this done before 28 weeks? Or know reasons why this may be done?

i had one done at 23 weeks because i was having menstrual like cramping. later on in pregnancy, it can be used to monitor the baby's heart rate during movement. earlier, it's to monitor contractions. my guess is, your OB wants to check if you're having contractions.
