I am a bit on the chunky side and i lost 13lbs from sickness and was put in the hospital one time because of it, but i am 8 days a way from the big day and my little boy is measuring in at about 9 to 10lbs he is going to be a big little boy and i would just talk to the doctor start you a list of the things that you need to know or are concerned about and take it with you to your next ob appointment cause if you dont you will most likely forget and then later be like a should have ask that and it will be a month before you go again

My doctor said it was fine but if I got to the point I couldn't drink fluids or I could NEVER hold down any food that I needed Zofran (which is what ended up happening...) but I wouldn't worry too too much...

Its very normal to lose in the first trimester, especially if you are sick. Personally, I wasn't sick at all and felt like I was eating constantly, but at my appointment today (14w5d) I had lost some weight. My doctor wasn't concerned because they were able to hear the heart beat and everything else was fine. Baby isn't putting on much weight yet, so your weight gain won't be much. Just make sure you are taking those prenatals and getting as many fruits & veggies as possible when you aren't sick! Good luck!

In my first trimester I didn't have any nausea or vomiting but I didn't have appetite. I lost 10 lbs, doctor said it was completely normal to lose weight during first trimester. Eventually, I gained all of that back :)
