I had this from constipation and just tried not to strain since it caused tearing. Also drinking water and applying a little lotion to the...ahem...opening seemed to offer relief

Hi,
so sorry to hear you are worried.
If you are 100% sure it's not hemorroids then maybe you should get an internal examination to find out the cause?? Hemorroids dont always show on the outside, they can be internal only and sometines theres no pain just some blood when youve been baring down during a bowel movement.
I very much doubt its 'butt cancer' as you said its not coming from there.
I hope you get it seen to soon... If just to put your mind at ease
All the best

i dont think this is anything to get too upset about..most women become a little (or alot) constipated during pregnancy due to the extra iron in prenatal vitamins. Even if you have not been constipated, chances are your BM's are a little harder then before. this can cause something called a fisher which is a small tear inside due to hard stool or constipation. I have seen this many times in myself and alot found it happen a few times in my childrens diapers after they have a hard time going.
i did the same as you,,, stressed out and called the doctor ASAP.. they always said the same thing,, its likely just a fisher. try drinking more water and adding more fruit and veggies to your diet to prevent further constipation
