Q: worried about heartbeat!!!!

Ok this might sound totally crazy but I am currently 5w5d and we have our first appt with our fertility doc on wed when I will be 6w1d and I can't shake this fear that there won't be a heartbeat. We have been ttc for 16 months before we got our BFP and I feel super worried about everything. We also have our first OB appt on Dec. 5th and I will be 6w6d. Any thoughts or anyone else that went through this? I just feel crazy.

hun im in the same boat im currently 4w6d pregnant and i go for my first actuall appointment dec.6 and im afraid i wont here a heartbeat either im jus praying that everything goes ok

They were able to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks for me, but it was very low because the heartbeat was just starting! So right around there they might be able to see it on ultrasound, doubtful that they will hear anything until after 9 weeks...

I felt the same way and still am nervous at 11wks - next appt on Wed. Heard heartbeat but am still a super worrier. Gotta keep myself calm. No caffiene, I stay off the Internet, don't listen to people's horror stories. Easier said than done, trust me I know. best of luck to you both...msg me if you need an ear.

I am glad to see that it is not just me. I am currently 5wks and go to my ob appt at 7 wks and im super nervous too. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 4wks 6days. Now that this one is progressing I sometimes fear that something is going to go wrong again but like Stellar222 said we just gotta have faith!!

There IS a heartbeat but you're still pretty early so you might not hear it yet. Don't worry, have faith - your little one is in there...but just tiny and maybe not loud enough yet. Haha luck and prayers.
