Q: Pink tinged mucus?

I am having pink tinged mucus. I am 6w6d. What causes this, and is it bad? No bleeding or spotting yet. Any ideas?

I had this, too, and it's completely normal. My midwife explained to me that as your baby continues to implant and the pla, it loosens some of your uterine lining. It's actually a good sign because it means that the baby is burrowing nice and deep, settling down for the long haul. She said that if you feel pain or if it's actual blood (more like an actual period and less like spotting), it's cause for concern. As long as it's pink-tinged mucous, it's more of a sign of a happy, healthy little embryo! :-)
