Q: Wisdom Teeth

Has anyone had their wisdom teeth pulled while they were pregnant? I am 28 years old. I never had my wisdom teeth pulled. One of them just recently started to give me pain. The pain is causing my jaw to hurt and it is hard to chew. I'm 10 weeks pregnant. Can I have it pulled or do I have to wait till my little one is born?

U should ask the dentist and ur care giver first...but i personally would wait! Its so painful after..my sister in law just took hers out..and she cant eat anything! Its been over a week for her..I cant imagine going through that pain while pregnant.. but maybe hers was a more serious case.. Good luck :)

local anesthesia is relatively safe during pregnancy, most dentists and dr's recommend waiting until later in the second trimester to get any dental work done.

It all depends on if the dentist is comfortable with performing a tooth extraction while you're pregnant. I'd talk to them about it.
