Technically, when the father's name and the son's name are exactly the same, the "Jr." suffix or the "II" suffix may be applied. The "II" suffix may also be applied if two people who are related but not father and son (i.e. grandson, nephew, etc) have the exact same name.
However, in this day and age, I can't imagine anyone would complain if you use a different middle name and still call him Jr. Hank Williams, Jr. does not technically have the same name as his father and most people don't know the difference.
If you are wanting to be absolutely correct, though, you would have to name him the exact same thing as your fiance.

Technically, the entire name must be the same to qualify for the junior suffix. With a different middle name, its a different name.

I don't see why the middle name would have to be the same. he's still a jr if the first is the same as Daddy's

No im not saying jr for a nickname, just if my son would be considered Nicholas Joseph Catalano Jr or the II eventhough the middle name is different.. like my fathers name is Anthony Joseph Levenski Jr or II after my grandfather anthony joseph levenski

i think so ? jr is not something formal or "serious". u do not have to fill out a form to call your son jr. its no different then any other nick name your child may have. although some people do legally name their child "junior"
