Pointing down normally means a girl.. I had my gender scan at 15 weeks 5 days and nub was very much down and I just had my girl a few weeks ago, nub was also very much down at my 12 week scan..

It's too early! Studies have shown that between 16 and 20 weeks is when they results are most reliable. Not saying she isn't right (50/50 shot) but I wouldn't buy blue yet! Wait a few more weeks for your big structural ultrasound for confirmation! Congrats either way!!!

My ultrasound tech said at 11 weeks that she would bet it was a boy. At 20 weeks she was proven right. Although there is always room for error, it really depends on how experienced the tech is and how clear of a picture you have. Good luck, but don't start buying blue clothes until you are 100% sure (definitely after the anatomy ultrasound)!

It is indeed quite early, but you never know. The tech could be really good... but in any case there's a 50% chance she's right!
I think at this stage, there would be a nub whether it's a boy or a girl, and there's a whole "nub theory" about whether it's pointing up or down... maybe google it?

At 13 weeks the testicles haven't descended yet. I would say that 13 weeks is a bit early to determine gender but I've heard of it happening...
