Q: Leaking colostrum at almost 21 weeks pregnant?

Sorry if this is tmi, but as if today I've noticed I've been leaking what I assume is colostrum...already! Is this normal? I don't remember leaking this early with my first pregnancy and to be honest I don't think I started leaking colostrum until he was born. This is so different! Has anyone else experienced this too this early?? My doctors appointment isn't until Monday I'm not super worried just a little surprised! :P

Totally normal, and a good sign that your body is already preparing itself for breastfeeding after the birth :)
With my son I started leaking at 17 weeks - totally wasn't expecting it that early!! And this time around it started at 13 weeks!! At the moment I only leak colostrum during the night, and through the day my milk is still there (just not as much of it, much to the dislike of my son!)

Hey BlodeMama, Below is the email I got from Lucie's List at 19 weeks. This should put your mind at ease.

19 Weeks Preggo (wrong week?)
You've probably heard this word before and mentally filed it into the "things-I-don't-need-to-worry-about-yet" area of your brain. Wellll, maybe not.
Colostrum is thick, nutrient-rich pre-milk that contains antibodies that protect new babies from infections. It can be anywhere from clear to a deep golden color. If you plan on nursing, this liquid gold will nourish your baby the first few days after you give birth -- before your real milk comes in. Moo.
Your body starts producing colostrum around the 3rd month and you may be surprised to find yourself a little leaky, starting as early as 15 weeks (for some), 20 weeks (for many), and 30 weeks (for most).
This leakage is typically brought on by (ahem)...intimate contact, thoughts of babies or nursing or milk (no, serrrr-usss-ly?), or warm showers. And sometimes... for no reason at all

This is my first pregnancy and I started leaking colostrum around 17 weeks. It's different for everyone and every pregnancy! I really wasn't expecting it that early either but my doctor said it was fine.
