Q: When do I pack my hospital bags?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I had a scare the other day, at labor and delivery the doctor said I was dilated to a 1 and my contractions were a couple minutes apart but they sent me home and assured me the contractions weren't sending me into labor.
Well I've had a couple really bad episodes of contractions since then and was wondering if I should pack my hospital bag now or wait a couple more weeks...? And what do I put in it?

I'm 32 weeks and I packed last week. Extra PJs and undies. I bought little travel soaps, shampoos, deodorant, toothbrush/toothpastes so I wouldn't have to worry about running around and finding them all when in labor. An outfit for baby to wear home, and some blankets to cover him just in case. Good luck!

I'd pack your hospital bag now - you never know what might happen. Keep it simple: a night shirt, old pants, going home outfit for you and baby, nappies, cotton wool, deodorant, and loads of maternity pads and breast pads (if breastfeeding). I stuck a note on mine reminding me to add toothbrush and other last minute necessities before we went. You might also want some things for labour - ipod, massage oil etc. But I wouldn't worry about too many clothes and stuff, because if you end up staying in for a while other people can always bring you stuff. Hope this helps!
