Q: Doppler Heart Rate Monitor


Has anyone ever bought a Doppler heart rate monitor? This is my first pregnancy and I'm 14 weeks and I'm sorry to say but I am a little paranoid about something bad happening. I thought buying a Doppler heart rate monitor would put me at ease. Just wondering if anyone has ever bought one and whether or not it was worth it. Thanks! PS - posted this as a forum question too but wasn't sure if this was a better place.

We have tried to use one as am 15 weeks pregnant but can never find the heartbear which makes us paranoid, the consultant always seems to find it though, im not sure there worth the money, best of luck :)

Buying can be expensive unless you find a cheap one on EBAY or Amazon. I rented one from storkradio.com it's like $15/month for 3 months. I figured by then my appts will be every couple weeks and I won't need it anymore... It works great!
