Q: 7 weeks pregnant & my abdomen feels swollen?

I am 6.6 weeks pregnant, I just found out, and it's my first. My abdomen feels swollen, like around my abs and a little higher than my belly button. I don't know if this is normal, I have my first prenatal appointment in two days, so I'll ask then. But just concerned. Anything would help, please!

I am completely in the same boat as Mandib17!. I am 6 weeks currently and have been incredibly bloated for 2 weeks. I look pregnant like I'm working on my 2nd trimester, not 1st. Infact, my husband even asked if I was showing already and I had to tell him it was just bloating. I had to have a doctors exam already (due to recent miscarriage) and she told me that I would probably stay bloated for another 6-8 weeks so to try to get comfy. :) I know its nerve racking but lots of us have this wonderful uncomfortable swollen belly! Just stay calm! :) good luck!

I am 7.2 weeks and my belly has been swollen pretty much the whole time. It is just major bloating for me. It's early but I look like I'm 4-5 months already! If it is above your belly button, then it sounds like something in your stomach. Not that means anything is wrong, it could be gas or indegestion too. I have had that majorly the past few weeks. After your appt. you will feel much better, just ask about it and do something to help get your mind off of it until then. xo
