Q: weight gain -_- venting :/

im 20 weeks almost and i feel huge. everyone compares me to other pregnant girls. i know ive gained about 13 pds but my appetite has been crazy and stress with school doesnt help. im almost to 200 pds which i havent been in a few years and worked my ass off to get it off and get down to 150 but from being in a wheel chair bc of my surgery for 8 weeks then when i got out bam im pregnant. i just feel gross i know were suppose to gain weight and what not but i cant help but look at other girls at the beach and think god i want my old body back. im more then grateful for aiden and i keep telling myself its normal and you have alot more weight to gain. everyone always says you lose it after the baby is born from breast feeding. so im hoping that really does work.
Has anyone else felt like this?
Do you know of any healthy filling foods? it just seems like im always hungry now a days :/

Everybody is different. I was only allowing myself to gain 15-20 lbs as I am already fat and I was doing really good until I was forced to take 2 weeks off from work and all I did was worry about the bills and if I'd still be employed so all I did was ate. I gained 10 lbs. So far, I'm 7 months today, I've gained 21 lbs but that was at my last apt 3.5 weeks ago. Hoping on Thursday it hasn't gone up too much. I feel huge already.

It does help to have a partner that is supportive. My husband tells me that even if he has to roll me around, he still thinks i'm sexy and that won't ever change. lol He's such a joker. But the important part is, i know he means it. I could be 300 lbs and he will never tell me a single negative thing about it. When i was losing weight last year, he was great! Went out of his way to find new recipies, cook dinner, go to the store himself so i would not have to be tempted by the bakery section... I know he'll do it all again so i just try to remember that so i don't feel too bad about my weight. Nobody has any right to make you feel bad about your body! Maybe you need to have an honest talk with your fiancee and explain to him how his comments are making you feel. If it's just a matter of him not realizing what his words are doing to you, then maybe a talk will go a long way towards resolving this part of the issue. And us girls are always here too! ;-)

I don't know what possesses people to make remarks to a pregnant woman about her weight. It has happened to me too. I had those feelings in the beginning too. My husband and friends are really supportive though and they are always complimenting me. The further along I have got in my pregnancy now (I am 27 weeks today!), the more I have learned to embrace my body and be proud of my big belly. I try to eat healthy for my baby, but I do not deny myself when I want a huge slice of chocolate cake either. Enjoy the experience of being pregnant, you will miss it when you can no longer feel your little one kick in your belly. I breastfed my first, and lost the weight pretty quickly afterwards. But, there is no need to worry about that now, it will only create unnecessary stress. We are all beautiful!

I know i totally feel the same way im already creeping up to 200 and i feel gross to my fiancee. he kepts comparing me to my pre pregnancy and pre surgery body. i dont think he knows how badly it does hurt. but im going to work my hardest to get back down. my starting weight was 186 from the surgery :/ im 197 so ive only gained 11 pds. but i still feel huge. i look in ocean city (i live 5 mins away) and look at all these tiny skinny girls and feel terrible. but i realized were pregnant were all in the middle of a miracle and as women we need to embrace it :) im almost 18 im not super skinny like some of these other pregnant teens. but we need to not let that get us down. every body's bodies are different and our bodies are CRAZY different big boobs big stomach big hips big everything. nut were pregnant and we've created a miracle every time i feel bad now i think of Aiden and its all worth it :)

I'm in the same boat. I worked really hard last year to lose a lot of weight and then between illness and miscarriages, I managed to start this pregnancy at the heaviest I've ever been while not pregnant! I feel like a hippo and none of my clothes fit right anymore. Its depressing to look at the baby bump pictures on here of 16 year old girls who weigh 115 at 8 months along. I don't want to even take a belly pic because I just feel gross. I'm surely going to be over 200 by the time this baby is born and It stressed me out. I just keep reminding myself that I lost it once so I know I can do it again. And I wasn't even breastfeeding then! Lol Just try to keep telling yourself, "I did it once, I can do it again!"

With my first I gained 46lbs. Kept being told I was having twins. My self esteem got pretty shot because of the girls in my area. You know perfect beach bod and what not. I felt like I was becomming unatractive to my husband. After I had athena not all my weight dropped. I started at 169 and went up to around 225 and dropped down to 199. A lot of it is baby, water, chest growth. I am built like my mom so I knew the struggle to losing baby weight was going to be hard. With baby number two I only gained 28. So far with this one I've lost 6 pounds. Don't stress too much about it. You were able to shed the weight before, no doubt in the world says you can't do it again. You did better than me. Good luck

Hun, try not to stress. With my first I gained 50 pounds. People look at my pictures and tell me that that was no way it was me because of how huge I got. 13 pounds isn't bad at all. As far as I'm aware, that's a healthy weight gain for being 20 weeks. Just ignore everyone. At 32 weeks, I had people telling me that there was no way I'd make it 8 days, let alone 8 weeks. Not all the weight you gain is really you. You got to factor in the weight of the baby, placenta, and water as well. I don't know anything healthy that's super filling except rice cakes and fruits and veggies. Those are staples in my diet because I'm the same way but don't want to eat unhealthy either.
