Q: Water in hands and feet in the morning

My hands and feet look terribly big in the morning because of the water retention. I am in week 36. Is it dangerous? Shall I contact my doctor?

the doctor has measured blood pressure and have taken a look on my baby. Everything is as it should be :) he also said that as long as it goes away when I get up, it is all good.

I am drinking about 1.5 to 2 liters of water every day. And it is not hot outside where I live.

My water retention goes away as soon as I get up and begin drinking water. It has been so for three days now.

Dont worry like jessiewall11 said your probably fine. Swelling is TOTES normal during pregnancy! and i think especially because it subsides and is only in the morning i reckon your all good.

Could be a sign of dehydration. Be sure to drink lots of water 1/2 your body weight in ounces through out the day (not all at once or in large bursts). This should help. If that doesnt help, consult your dr.

Do u have any other symptoms? Headache, blurred vision, seeing stars/flashes or an over powering metallic taste? I had spontaneous swelling that didn't subside and the hospital advised me just to pop in and have my blood pressure taken just to rule out per eclampsia - turns out I did have if but was in week 39. It won't do any harm in being checked over. Try not to panic or stress though because that can bring up your blood pressure too.,. Good luck :)

Well if it goes away after drinking water I think you'll be ok. It still wouldn't hurt to let your dr know though.
