Q: Calling all Cloth Diapering Mommas!

Okay BTDT Mommas I need your advice. I plan to cloth diaper my new little boy. I'm 30 weeks so I am trying to get some stuff together. I have researched it and I believe that pocket diapers will be best for us. However, I have read somewhere that moms are recommended to at least have some prefolds and covers too. Is that necessary? Do any cloth diapers mommas have any suggestions on what I need to get my stash started?

Pockets never worked for me, I do prefolds, trifolds and flats and covers and use the Flip. I would watch videos on youtube they have so many different ways to cloth diaper, its crazy lol! Everyone is different. When I started cloth diapering my daughter, I bought a few thing first to see what worked. I didn't spend too much either at first, thankfully! After trying a few things, I ended up using prefold at home and the Flip when I was out. I could be wrong lol but I would recommend buy different stuff and seeing how you like it, buying a few prefolds to try out wont be expensive either.

The Cloth diaper stores around me, and online have some great trial packages!
http://itsybitsybums.3dcartstores.com/Trial-Packages_c_72.html

How It Works
1.Choose a package
2.Pay the rental fee + deposit
3.Use the three week trial period to test out the diapers - overnight, out of the house and with babysitters and other secondary care providers - really take them for a spin!
4.Return any diapers and extras that you do not wish to keep (terms & conditions apply) for store credit
5.Purchase more of what you loved with your store credit and Trial Pack's 10%-off coupon (some exclusions apply)

Definitely look into your local stores, or I can give you some suggestions or great websites! One great resource, Diaper Decisions.
