Q: Is the ultrasound accurate

I had my period on September 15 and another one in October 22 or 23 which means my cycle was 37-3,8 days. I went to the docs on 12/11/2012 for an ultrasound because I missed my period in November. The ultrasound dated me at 6 weeks and 2 days G.A which dates my period to the 29 of October. Is it possible for the ultrasound to be a week off this early? Also, the second ultrasound was only 1 day off.

When we went to the doctor for our first ultrasound, I should have been 9 w 2 d, but the baby measured 7 w 2 d. I am now 25 w. All has been fine, and the baby has measured how it should based on that first ultrasound. It just turned out I ovulated later in January than typical. I would trust the ultrasound. You probably just ovulated later or implanted later. :)

The ultrasound is more accurate, always, especially that early. At that stage, babies grow at the same rate. Without knowing when you ovulated, lmp can be pretty useless.
