Call your doctor and ask them. There is a different answer for each person. Most people are told to take Tylenol, which doesn't do anything for me personally. However, my friend, who has a blood clotting disease, was told to take Ibuprofen instead because of her condition. Only your doc, who has knowledge of your medical history is going to be able to tell you what is safe to take and get you a prescription. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I suffer from migraines and the past three days have been wretched.

There are alot of safe prescription pain meds you can take. I would call your dr and ask him/her to give you something. I have a chronic back injury that i deal with that gets worse during pregnancy, and i find that a combination of tylenol and ibuprofen together works pretty good. Alot of people will tell you that you can't take ibuprofen at all during pregnancy, but from everything i've ever read, its safe to take OCCASIONALLY during the first and second trimesters, but NOT during the third, because it can cause heart valve defects. I just had my first genetic screening with UCSF, and when i told them i had been taking it sometimes they didn't even blink an eye. But call your dr and see what they say.
