Q: Babyshower timing

I was just wondering when is the customary time to have the baby shower?

My friend is just as excited about the baby as I am and keeps asking me when we are having the shower..

As far as I understand it is somewhere after 20 weeks.

Any suggestions? When did you have yours?

Thanks!

3rd trimester usually. But I had mine early because I flew home and had one while I was there and that was at 25 weeks. Sometimes people have more than one too, so they have one early to space it out. :)

My sister had hers at around 32 weeks and I plan to do the same (maybe even closer to the due date) as i know thats when all my family etc will be available, but there is no right or wrong time to have a baby shower, have it whenever you like :)

Mine will be held when I am 32 weeks. We planned it so that way we have plenty of time to buy the things we didn't get and to finish off the nursery.

My sisters are planning mine around 32-34 weeks. I think anytime is acceptable now, but tradition held 1-2 months before due date.
