Q: Tested positive for AFP, could be from the other twin?

Posted 1 sec ago

So. Help me out here. I was carrying twins up until 12 weeks. The doctor said that the other twin wouldn't really go away, it would shrink. During the first trimester I was told that most of the blood tests i would take would came be faulty bc of the twin. The nurse on the phone this morning told me not to freak out, the doctor thinks i tested positive because of the other twin, but they moved up my u/s to tomorrow morning just to be certain. Trying not to freak out, but of course it's pretty much impossible. Has anyone been where I am now?

I was carrying triplets and lost one. Because of that my Dr wouldn't even test my levels for that because of the loss. He said any reading would be faultly b/c of what was happening internally to deal with the one's passing.
DOn't worry on it another minute. Concentrate on goodd thoughts for your precious baby!
