When was it time for you to buy maternity clothing?

Feel likes it's way way early to be buying maternity stuff...

I have a big bust after pregnancy so it’s not easy to find a suitable size bra. I was so worried. But Last week my friend April suggest me, she was also suffering from the same problem, so she told me that I have purchased my bra from online at Spicy Lingerie. She said I am so happy with the size, shape and design. So I am also thinking to go there, If you want, then you can also, let us see what Spicy Lingerie will provide to us. I hope you also go there. http://www.spicylingerie.com/ I found some bras last time from here.

I consider myself a frugal person but I really hated my unbuttoned jeans digging into my stomach. I am tall but very thin and my bump is all in the front. I found awesome jeans and work pants for less than $10 at various second-hand maternity stores. I have one pair of jeans, one pair of skinny jeans (which I wear all the time...with boots it makes being pregnant actually really cute), and three pairs of work pants. I also have maternity leggings I got on sale and I LOVE them because my regular leggings, while they fit, dig into my bump. I like to wear tunics and leggings and will be wearing them often post-partum until I'm back to my regular weight. As far as shirts go, I pick some up here and there because I don't like stretching out my nice pre-pregnancy shirts. Don't be afraid to do what's comfortable for you or feel like it's bad to be in maternity clothes because you knew someone who didn't wear them until third trimester! If you feel good it makes all the difference!

I'm 31 weeks and I am wearing lots of dresses, yoga pants, and leggings. For me it's a better option bc I can still wear them after baby. :) I do have a few pairs of maternity from previous pregnancies that I wore around 25 weeks. I just prefer my other options better.

I think this definitely is contingent upon your body type, how you're carrying your baby, your clothing budget and your tolerance for discomfort, lol. At 20 weeks, I found myself tempted to unbutton my jeans after a meal. As soon as that thought went through my mind, I knew it was time to consider "next steps" for clothes! I never bought maternity pants, I just went with a belly band and my pants fit fine with that. If I wasn't such a penny-pincher, I would've bought maternity pants around 25 or 30 weeks because at that point even though the belly band was doing its job just fine, the zipper of my jeans would sometimes dig into my skin if I didn't fold them just right. I bought a couple maternity tops at around 30 weeks or so for variety - I've made due with some of my more stretchy shirts and dresses. I would agree with others that leggings have been wonderful. I don't have maternity ones, just regular ones and they work great!

I wouldn't worry, I freaked out when my clothes started feeling really tight at 12 weeks and asked our doctor... turns out I have ridiculously short waist so there is no place for everything to go but out, totally normal, he said. I don't really ever wear pants, so had lots of empire waist dresses already that have grown with me, but now that the weather is getting cooler, maternity leggings are my best friend!

I started buying maternity clothes at 12 weeks and buying bits and pieces every couple of weeks so I will have enough and just in case I wake up some morning and my belly expands. I am wearing my normal leggings and I'm coming up to 20weeks, my belly is definately coming into a proper bump, jeans I have not been able to wear from 14-16 weeks as it just felt so uncomfortable so they will be packed away now until next year. I have been wearing maternity jumpers to try hide the forming bump as a lot of my friends and family don't know yet, I've told the ones I see regularly.

With my first one, i didn't wear any maternity clothes until about 6 months. But with the second, i was in them by 10-12 weeks. Big difference! I had the worst bloating with #2! This time, i started wearing the maternity pants around 10-12 weeks again, due to bloating again, but once the first trimester was over, and the bloating died down a lot, i went back to my regular pants. Now, at 25 weeks, it depends on the pants. Some of my regular jeans that are really low cut, i can still wear just fine under my belly, but the higher waisted ones i can't wear anymore. I'm probably wearing my maternity stuff about half the time now. But no tops yet, i just steal my husband's t-shirts. lol

Nah. I started wearing pants around then because the belly band sucks and was compressing my innards and the maternity pants are just comfy! I bought clothes periodically through thrift stores and on sale so it wouldn't be a huge blow to my wardrobe-some worked from early bump onward and some I had to grow into a little.

Everybody is different, every pregnancy is different. With my first I started to wear the belly band around 11 weeks and now with this one I'm currently around 6 weeks or so and some of my pants are to tight for me that I use a hair tie to keep my pants up. Thinking I might bring out the belly band sooner than later. Also, if your comfortable that's all that matters. :)
