Q: Horrible questions, about pains in the anus, lovely right??

So I'm 17 weeks and the last few weeks I have been having very sharp pains in the bum, also pressure, I didn't have this last time, has anyone else had this??????

Well it has settled down now, I'm 17 weeks 3 days and my belly seems to have popped abit more now, yesterday it went fully down to flat, so I think it's the position of the baby, it's really low and in the back, my last pregnany I got pretty big, so I think it's just pressure

Interesting-I've never heard anyone associate the pain with their anus. Thank you for keeping us updated-I hope you feel better!!

I've just been to my doctor and he said it's probably sciatica. I guess that's just a normal thing in pregnancy. Advised hot bath, some deep heat, physio therapy and paracetamol.

I have had this too- like a shooting pain. I think it's normal as baby is still kicking and nothing has gone wrong etc, although I haven't spoken to my midwife. Could it be pelvic pain as-well?

It could just be where the baby is sitting/ laying. Baby puts pressure on everything in there, but if your real concerned big it up to your OB or midwife

Ye i have this too back and front I said to the midwife the other day as I was concerned and she said it was nothing to worry about x

Yes, I've had it with both pregnancies. I'll also feel it in the vaginal/cervix area. It is very common & just caused by the stretching of the ligaments. I am 19 weeks & it started up with me a few weeks ago. Fun times! :)

It could be hemorrhoids be good to talk to your doctor or a nurse. You may need to take stool softener.
