Q: I haven't gained any weight and I'm 15 weeks

I'm not gaining any weight but I'm eating a lot. I eat plenty of fruit and veggies, eggs, meat, and drink about a gallon of milk within 2 days! What gives? I don't even have a baby bump yet :( This is my second pregnancy. I have felt flutters from the baby but that was last week. Now I feel nothing. It makes me sad because I want to see some evidence that I'm pregnant but I'm not showing yet. With my first baby, I began to show at 6 months pregnant and I began feeling her kick at 16 weeks. I thought that with your second pregnancy you are most likely to show sooner and feel the baby's kicks sooner.

I didn't start gaining until 22 weeks. Even now I'm 27 weeks and up four pounds from pre pregnancy. My doctor said during the first trimester you really Shouldn't be gaining a lot of weight. So you sound like your right on track :)

I'm 29 weeks today and so far, ive only gained 2-3 pounds. I've had alot of stomach issues this time around so that's probably why. I look pregnant finally though! lol The last couple of weeks, my friends and DH have been telling me that the rest of me looks thinner, like my arms and face so i think the baby is just taking my body fat for himself because i've had such a hard time eating anything. My dr. says as long as the baby is measuring on target for the dates, which he is, i shouldn't worry. It does feel weird though to not be gaining alot. With my last two babies, by this time, i had put on about 15-20 pounds. I gained 30 with each of them but i don't think i'll get anywhere near that this time!

I am almost 21 weeks with my second & wasn't feeling her like I did with my first. I was worried, too. I found out at my 19 week ultrasound that my placenta is in the front, so had to grow strong enough to kick through that. At 21 weeks, I'm really starting to feel her! Don't worry! He/she will start kicking away soon enough! :)

I wasnt gaining weight either at first. But as long as you are eating and keeping it down your baby is getting what it needs! Dont worry you will be gaining in no time!!

Hey I'm 24weeks tomorrow and have only gained 4lb in last few weeks. I had acute morning sickness lost over a stone. I don't have a bump either :( my mum said to me tonight you couldn't tell I was pregnant, my mates at weekend said same. Quite disheartening as all I can feel is my wee man kicking away.

A lot of people do show sooner with subsequent pregnancy but remember every person is different, you are just one of the lucky ones who will prob show later in pregnancy. x

I am 21 weeks and have only gained 2 kg so far - I am also eating very healthily and my midwife says that weight gain usually starts at the end of the 2nd trimester so not to worry :) Every pregnancy is different. if you are worried, I would get a home Doppler - I used one from wk 12 and still use it now if the I cant feel the baby move for a day - it really does give total peace of mind. xx
