Q: Pain in right side groin area

Is it normal to have pain on the right side, really low, not really the groin on the leg side but on the abdomen side. It's been painful for about 2 hours now. I wasn't sure if it was ligaments growing or loosening or something else. It's def not like pms cramps, cause it's not really on my belly so much. Anyone else having this??? I'm 5w 2d

It's likely that this pain is due to a corpus luteum cyst in your ovary that forms in the follicle from which you ovulated and which is normal early in pregnancy. It is a good thing because the progesterone it produces helps sustain the pregnancy. It usually goes away on it's own once the placenta takes over progesterone production. You should tell your doctor though, in order to rule out any other possibilities. (I had the same thing and the discomfort went away around week 8.)
