Q: When should my period start??

Had a beautiful baby girl on Nov 19th, had no tearing or anything. Finally stopped bleeding last week and (shame on me) but have been having unprotected sex with the hubby since abut 2 week pp. Just wondering when I should be looking for my period, it's been four weeks && a day since giving birth.

If you're not breastfeeding, then you can probably expect Af to return roughly 4-6 weeks after you stop bleeding. If you're feeling physically up to it, then by all means, have fun with DH! I never ended up waiting the whole 4-6 weeks they tell you to wait. But be careful, getting pregnant again too soon can be really hard on the body! I know alot of women who have done it, but personally, i can't imagine have two so close together. I think it would destroy what little sanity i have left! LOL

If you aren't breastfeeding, then it could be any time now. A close friend of mine had her period by the time she went in for her 6 week post partum check up. She was using formula & breastfeeding. Of course, it is possible to get pregnant before your period ever resumes, so keep that in mind.

I wasn't preaching, I was just pointing out it could return at any time.

No, I am not breastfeeding. Thank you and please don't take this the wrong way, but I know I should be using protection. I didn't ask this question to get preached about how fertile I am after birth. I'm just curious when I'll be expecting Mother Nature to arrive. It's been over four and a half years since I have given birth to my oldest.

Depends. Are you breastfeeding? If you are breastfeeding on demand it could be six months easy. If you aren't, it could come back any time but usually takes a few months for your hormones to return to normal levels. You should be using protection.
