Q: Will it ever get better?!!?! ):

Ugh they say baby girls steal moms beauty and I'm starting to think it's true even though I'm hoping it's a boy!! My face is still horrible at 13w3d and my hair is dry and dull! Any tricks to make it better? Any moms find this 'old wives take' to be untrue?

I don't know if facials help much but from some other ladies suggestions it can't hurt and who doesn't like a good facial?!!

Jelly-bean- let me know what kind of cream your dr suggests and if it works I might have to ask mine for something like that soon! It wouldn't bother me as much but the pimples hurt!

Mrsamanda- I'm the same way all the old wives takes are saying girl but we are holding out hope there's a boy in there lol I'm wanting to try the gender predictor kit just to see what it says that's the only one I haven't tried..

I had it awful with both my boys I was always so angry when I heard people saying pregnant women glow cause I didnt at all. I looked like a train wreck and felt awful the entire time. The only time I truly "glowed" was with the baby i miscarried, I had perfect skin during the 7 weeks I was pregnant with that baby. I just think everyone reacts to hormones differently and it's got nothing to do with baby's gender.

Totally an old wife's tale! My skin and hair were the most perfect when I was pregnant with my daughter! But I do agree...sometimes a nice hair treatment or facial can make you feel better!

If you can swing it, a facial and spa hair treatment might really go a long way toward making you feel better. Sometimes it just takes a little something special to make you feel new again. The person who does your facial should also be able to help you change your routine to adjust to the hormones and your skin while you are pregnant.
