I have never done any of the gender prediction things, I always waited for ultrasound time. But, I currently have looked up home remedies/wives tales that can predict babys gender. Not sure on HOW accurate they actually are but most of them said it was true on their past pregnancies. Theres a baking soda one and also a red cabbage water one. You can actually see how to do them on youtube or also can google them as well.

You can do blood/genetic testing at 12 weeks that with confirm the sex of the baby.

Hi Kate! At 12w 2 days a very skilled Perinatologist told me he was pretty sure it was a girl, and like everyone said, he had a pretty high-tech machine. He still wasn't confident enough to say for sure that day. At 17w 2 days, we confirmed our baby is a little girl. So, yes they can be right. I think it just depends on who you are seeing and the type of equipment they are using. Good Luck!

I found out at 12 weeks 1 day, however, this was at a perinatologist where the ultrasound equipment was very high tech. They also told me it depends on the baby: some babies have developed detailed external sex organs at 12 weeks & have not. So, it really depends on a lot of factors.

Unless you do a blood/genetic test anything you find out is not going to be reliable enough to be 100% sure.

I was told 65% a girl on my 12 week scan and they was correct. However the machine was very high tech.

My Dr told me at 12w5d and was accurate. BUT that was a maternal fetal medicine specialist and she had a prettyfancy machine. With this pregnancy I was told at 14w2d and it hasn't changed.
