When I was on hospital bad rest during my pregnancy they gave me a cocktail of the following daily;

-colace
-senna
-miralax
-milk of magnesia
-glycerin suppositories

As you can tell I was fiercely constipated. Thanks to this combination, I farted my entire csection. Talk about being embarrassed.

Ever try kale smoothies? They clean you right out. 1 cup of kale (hand shred it), 1-2 bananas, frozen berries (i dont measure....just toss in a bunch!) and 1.5 cups of milk. Blend really well and enjoy. Super nutritious and will soften things up in your bowels. Colace works too....along with magnesium supplements and just plain water and salad! Fresh fruits will also move things along.

I used to get constipated somethin' fierce, right after O until af came...every cycle. So 2yrs ago I started taking Magnesium, 400mg/day, and I havent had a single bout of constipation since. Its cheap, depending on the type, and in pill form. This is what ur taking in MOM. Look for the type that ends in "ate" (citrate, glycinate, malate) as it is bound to more absorbable molecules, like sugars and acids. MgO (Magnesium Oxide) is the cheapest and most irritating on the intestines so u could use that as a quick fix and one of the others as a daily maintenance. The more expensive, the better absorption and less GI irritation. Hope this helps. =))
