Q: Best insurance Plan for Pre/ Postnatal and Maternity?

Due to the ACA I'm switching to a plan through healthcare.gov. My current plan from last year doesn't cover maternity at all. I had decided to sign up for the best plan that Aetna offered, it has a $2000 deductible and 30% coinsurance for maternity. No charge for prenatal and 30% coinsurance for postnatal. Anyone have the lowdown on all this insurance stuff? Instead of just choosing the most expensive plan with the least deductible, I want the plan that is the best deal for what it covers as far as maternity. I was fine with my choice until my friend called me to say she got basically the same but for less through bluecross.

In general, try to get the cheapest plan with the most coverage, though what price point is best for you and which services you want and need are personal choices that others can't really make for you. You can compare plans through healthcare.gov, so look around and see if you can find a plan that has a deductible you can afford with all the services you plan to use or might need. Happy searching.
