Q: Really worried about lack of weight gain

I am worried about my lack of weight gain.
With my son by the time I was induced at 36+4 weeks I had gained about 15 16lbs

I am 33+5 weeks and have only gained 11lbs. It's not like I'm not eating either because I am, I am eating a little more then I would usually, mainly because hubby makes sure I do.

I am a shorty, 5ft and my starting weight was 8stone so I have a normal BMI. I don't see how I am going to gain even the lowest recommend weight gain for pregnancy.
I'm not sure if I am worrying over nothing, as I know every one gains differently, but given my previous baby being an IUGR baby and I had gained more at this stage with him its just making me worry more.

yesterday my bump was measuring 2 weeks behind where as before it was a week. I see my midwife till Wednesday, is it worth talking to her about it?

Hi ya im 32 weeks today and I was thinking the same. I have only gained 7lb. My consultant isn't too worried but I do find it odd!! I haven't had much of an appetite all the way through this pregnancy and when I have its been vegetables and good old home cooked meals, I can only think this is the reason? I didn't have much morning sickness either.

I shall be watching the answers with interest :)

I would think with your history of IUGR they would be watching your fondul height very closely. Lack of weight gain doesn't necessarily mean anything. I'm 5'1 & only gained 9 lbs with my first. She was born at 36 weeks & still weighed in at 7lbs 4 oz. However, with your history, I would def voice your concerns if they do not bring up the subject. Best wishes!
