Q: Super hungry in the morning?!

So every morning (after the nausea wears off), I feel like I haven't eaten in a week! Even after breakfast I feel like I haven't had anything, and I have a pretty hearty breakfast. Usually it's a piece of whole wheat toast, 2 eggs with some cheese, turkey sausage, a piece of fruit, and my prenatal smoothie (cup of spinach, coconut water, and several other fruits), it's about 12 ounces blended up. After that I have my cup of coffee. That seems like a ton of food to me, yet here I am, an hour after breakfast and I feel hungry! I have noticed that I haven't gained much in the last 2 weeks....maybe half a pound (I'm 21 weeks tomorrow). Any thoughts?

I want to continue the topic. The answers should be short, but I have many thoughts. She still had a lot of weight. To it were added problems in the family and depression. Listen to the advice. Do as I do. Eat lots of fruit.
Fruits interrupt appetite and do not give weight. Do not eat a lot of bread, pasta and sugar. Eat more dried fruits-dates, dried apricots. They are very useful. Watch for weight and hormones.
Put the balance on your body and check the weight every day. Hormones also give extra pounds. Always think of the child. It does not have to be big at birth. When a lot of weight, it will be difficult for you and the child. Good luck.

Hey. Yes, of course, this is not a good problem. A constant hunger makes you eat a lot. You will gain a lot of weight. This is very bad.
My friend also ate a lot. She was scolded by the doctor for her weight. She could not keep herself back to normal. She was at the refrigerator all the time. As a result, she scored 30 kg.
She became fat and had swelling. She has a lot of stress on the heart and blood vessels. The baby was also big. She had a cesarean section because of problems. Now she can not get back to normal.

In the afternoon I get the feeling that my stomach is eating itself inside out. Almonds and satusma oranges have been my saving grace on my 45 minute commute home. Enjoy your breakfast! It's the most important meal of the day. :)

Thanks ladies! Yeah it's weird...the rest of the day I'm eating like I did pre-pregnancy....not really hungry or anything. But breakfast...oh my word! lol I'm glad to hear it's normal though!

I'm guessing the baby is going through a growth spurt? I'm 17 weeks, and I wake up so hungry that it makes me nauseous, even though my MS is gone now. It only started up this week, and I can't more than a cup or so at a time without feeling ready to burst, but an hour later, it's like I haven't eaten in days. So yeah, I'm guessing baby growth spurt. But I could be wrong...

With both of my pregnancies, I have a huge increase in appetite around 20-24 wks. I'm assuming that it is due to a sudden growth spurt with the baby. However, after that, I have little appetite for the rest of the pregnancy. My biggest meal of the day is usually breakfast too.
