I have only gained 3lbs this pregnancy so far and I am almost 16 weeks. Should I be worried?

By 20 weeks i had lost over a stone and up until 25 weeks i kept losing weight due to severe sickness, I kept eating small meals every couple hours though. I'm now 37 weeks and baby is weighing what he should be, I've only put on 13lbs overall.

At 10 weeks Ive lost almost 10lbs already. baby is measuring fine, doctor thinks I will only gain 10lbs the entire pregnancy, and I'm ok with that! He doesn't seem concerned either.

I wouldn't be worried at all. I lost 15 pounds in my first trimester and my baby was healthy. Im 28 weeks and back at my pre pregnancy weight.

I found that I didn't gain any weight until 20 weeks to the day. I'm now 24+1 weeks and have only gained 7 pounds...everyone's body carries and provides differently :) as long as you're keeping healthy and active and eating well, both you and baby will be just fine.

As long as you're eating healthy, try not & worry. With my first, I was still losing at 16 wks & by the time I delivered, had gained only 9 lbs. My daughter was in the 90th % for size, so she got what she needed. Your weight gain will probably pick up as you get past the 20 wk mark. That is when most women see an increase in weight gain as the baby starts going through growth spurts.
