Q: Has anyone ever tried the old wives gender tests?

HI! Today I tried two different old wives gender tests that I found on youtube. One being the baking soda and urine test, and the other being the boiled purple cabbage water and urine test. Both results said we were having a girl. Just curious as to if anyone tried these or one of these and if they ended up being correct after the gender scan.

We did the baking soda test at 10 weeks and it said girl, then we did it again at like 16 weeks and it said boy. Chinese gender calendar said girl. OB said she thought it was a girl (at about 13 weeks, not based on ultrasound). We're having a boy! lol

We did the baking soda urine test and it resulted in a boy result, but we are having a girl. All of the old wives tales you find online pointed to girl for us though.

Thanks! I downloaded it and tried it - the app predicted a girl too, my ob predicted that I will have a girl as well last dr appointment (forgot to mention that) and he called it with my other two kids, so we will see! (:

I haven't done those, but I did download a gender prediction app. It was pretty crazy, as it was accurate with all 4 of my kids, including this pregnancy. If you are interested it's called Baby Gender Prediction by Atolyedroid 101. It appears to be based of the Chinese gender calendar, but it was the only one that was correct with all of my kids (3 boys and FINALY a girl). Just for fun, of course. :)
